The original design of the DAR logo is still an accepted and appropriate branded symbol to use for the DAR during the transition period as the organization gradually begins to use the refreshed design of the logo in all chapter, state and national branding. This refreshed logo will be a constant reminder that the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a relevant, engaging and purposeful service organization.

DAR members everywhere are encouraged to help amplify the DAR message to the world by consistently using the DAR logo in all their public relations efforts. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership.

With more than , members in approximately 3, chapters worldwide, DAR is one of the world's largest and most active service organizations. There is much to know about how to wear pins, when to wear them, and in what order should they be placed on the ribbon. Through restoring historic properties, funding scholarships and supporting our troops, DAR makes a difference in local communities.
